成语“兼听则明，偏信则暗”就是从魏征劝唐太宗的话演变而来。

中考作文题材2：谈笑自若

三国时期，东吴有一员叫甘宁的大将，作战英勇而且很有智谋。因有战功，被任命为西陵太守、折冲将军。

公元2，曹操在赤壁之战中失败后，被迫向江陵撤退。孙权和刘备的联军乘胜追击，一直追到南郡(今湖北江陵境内)。驻守南郡的魏将曹仁以逸待劳，奋勇击退了吴军的先头部队。吴军大都督周瑜大怒，准备与曹仁一决高下。甘宁根据当时的形势，上前劝阻，认为南郡与夷陵互为犄角，应该先袭取夷陵，然后再进攻南郡。大都督周瑜采纳了他的建议，命他领兵攻取夷陵。

甘宁领兵直逼夷陵城下，与魏军守将曹洪激战。曹洪败走，甘宁命令部下迅速夺取夷陵，这样就对南郡造成很大威胁。但是当时甘宁的兵力很少，只有几百人;入城后立即招兵，但也不过千人。当天黄昏，驻守南郡的魏将曹仁为了夺回夷陵，派曹纯和牛金引兵与曹洪汇合，共聚五千余人，把夷陵城团团围住。曹军架设云梯攻城，被甘宁守军击退。

第二天，曹军堆土构筑高楼，然后在高楼上向城中射箭。箭如雨发，射死射伤不少吴兵。这时，城中吴军将士都有些紧张和害怕，只有甘宁一个人同平常一样，谈话笑容非常自然，一点也不紧张恐惧。他命人收集曹军射来的数万枝箭，选派优秀射手，与魏军对射。由于甘宁率军沉着顽强的固守，曹军无法攻破城池。

后来，甘宁派人突围向周瑜告急，周瑜即刻发兵前来解围，最终赢得了胜利。

中考作文题材3：豺狼当道

东汉末年，外戚诸梁姻族满朝，大将军梁冀专权。顺帝派遣周举、张纲等八名大臣分道巡按各州郡，纠察收审贪官污吏。

在这八个人当中，张纲年纪最轻，官职也最小，但他为人正直，敢于说话，对朝廷内部政治腐败、皇帝昏暗无能的现状极为不满。他认为，要整顿好官吏，首先应严厉惩办朝廷中贪赃枉法的大官。如果能这样做，地方上的小官吏就不敢为非作歹，否则，绝不会解决多大问题。为此，他对这次考察不感兴趣，没有马上成行。经再三催促，才勉强离京。

张纲的车辆还未驶出京城洛阳的范围，在都亭他就下令停车，命手下人把乘坐的车子拆毁，把车轮埋在地下，不再往前走。手下人疑惑不解，于是问他这是为什么。张纲愤慨地说：“豺狼当路，安问狐狸!”表面的意思是说，豺狼横在路中间，何必再去查问狐狸!张纲的意思很清楚：那些横行不法的大官在朝廷上掌握大权，又何必去查问那些违法乱纪的小官呢?言下之意是首先应惩办不法的大官。

张纲回到京城向顺帝上书，揭发大将军梁冀等人结党营私、坑害百姓、陷害忠良的罪行，请求顺帝严加惩办。由于顺帝很宠爱梁冀的妹妹梁皇后，所以他虽然知道张纲的请求正直有理，却没有照着办理。
